An AI Film

Written, directed, starring, and produced by Dan Hammill and Jeff Wood. This film was entered into the Gen48 AI film competition put on by Runway Studios. It was generated using a variety of AI tools including Runway Gen-1, Runway Gen-2, and Stable Diffusion. Participants were tasked with creating a short film in 48 hours using primarily artificial intelligence.

How we did it: After scripting and storyboarding, we set out to film all of our scenes. We made a point of making my character resemble our AI generated one as closely as possible. We then ran each scene through Gen-1 and stylistically matched them all. We learned a lot, and found that sometimes the best art comes from serendipitous mistakes.
